Kitty & Scott
How They Met
In 2017, Kitty and Scott found themselves back in their hometown. Kitty’s roommate introduced her to Scott while she was out having lunch with her friends. After several more encounters, the couple eventually went on their first official date in August of 2017. Since then, Kitty and Scott have been inseparable and live in San Antonio with their dogs, Luna and their newest puppy Birdie!
The Inspiration
Kitty and Scott have a love for everything timeless and historic. Kitty has a particular love of Art Deco and Modern Art that led the couple straight to the McNay Art Museum as their reception venue. “As one of the bride’s favorite museums in Texas, the McNay was the perfect backdrop for a night of sipping champagne and dancing.”
When it came to vendors and a venue, Kitty and Scott chose based off of what would highlight the beauty of san Antonio and all the talents that central Texas has to offer. They had a goal of wanting to represent not only their personal interests, but also paint a picture of their lives in a new city.
Unique Elements
It is only fitting that when having a wedding reception at the McNay Art Museum, gallery viewings must be held. Of the many unique elements the couple had, the gallery viewings and local Mariachi were especially enjoyed by all their guests.
“Our wedding coordinator, Marby Shaw, was hands down the best decision we made while planning our wedding. She had a solution for every question and more than one recommendations for every request. It was through her references that we found our photographers Lion and Lamb Film, who captured the exact vision of engagement pictures and wedding day photos to a tee. Not only did we get to experience the most perfect day of our lives, we now have the most beautiful pictures to look back on.”
Words of Advice
“As soon as you get engaged, hire a wedding coordinator. They will handle all the things you thought about and everything you didn’t. They take the weight and stress of planning a wedding especially during unprecedented times for events and make it such a fun and memorable experience.”
