How They Met + The Proposal

Sarah & David found each other online and after several conversations, their similarities became evident. A distinct connection was formed with a love for one another coming soon after.

With special planning and help from their best friends, a surprise proposal on Valentine’s Day marked a special moment in this couple’s love story. After enjoying dinner altogether, Sarah’s best friend suggest going on a walk over the bride at The Pearl. Sarah’s friend beautifully set the moment and even secretly made sure Sarah was looking her best for a “photo”.

The Inspiration

What better to inspire the theme of your wedding than your favorite childhood movie? Sarah’s all time favorite Disney movie from her childhood was Beauty and the Beast and it was integrated into their special day in such a beautiful way.

“We had originally chosen Castle Avalon and had already paid in full. But due to the pandemic they ended up having to close. Which left us at square one trying to find a venue. We ended up finding Paniolo Ranch when one of my bridesmaids sent me the link. We went for a tour and fell in love with it. Because it was a little bit of country but still gave off the fairytale vibe. We were sold because it had a mix of both of us. We both love the country and country music and we both love Disney movies.”

Unique Elements

With keeping the Beauty and the Beast theme in mind, everything in the details perfectly fit. Sarah & David made all of the table decorations themselves with roses and lights inside a dome to mimic the rose from the movie. They also included Belle’s love for books by tying books together with gold ribbon and incorporating them into the table decorations.

“Plan for the unexpected, be ready for anything that can be thrown your way. While you are planning the wedding and even the day of. But most of all take the time to enjoy planning it and also the wedding day. It goes by so fast and before you know it, it’s over!”
