Pamela & Erik

How They Met
From the beginning, Pamela knew things were going to be different with Erik. It all started for this San Antonio Weddings couple six and a half years ago at a party. Immediately after leaving the party, Pamela began bragging non stop to her friends about how nice and charming Erik had been. She was head over heels from day one!

The Proposal
This couple is close in more than one way- they were literally born 15 hours a part from each other! Since Erik and Pamela are basically birthday twins and also share a mutual love for the show Fixer Upper, Erik planned a special birthday tip to the Magnolia Silos in Waco, Texas. As they explored together in celebration, Erik jokingly pretended to pose for a photo and then before she knew it, he was on one knee asking her to marry him. He had even gone out of his way to contact a childhood friend of Pamela’s who attended Baylor University at the time to photograph the whole thing!

One Surprise Leads to Another
While Pamela and Erik had originally planned for their San Antonio Wedding to take place in the spring time of 2020, they were not alone in having to reschedule. Settling for a big celebration to occur in July of 2020, the couple didn’t let the change of plans bring them down at all! They ready for their wedding date to stay their true date of marriage- so, they eloped and made it official!

The Big Day
With an airy and light theme inspired by her favorite shade of blue, the wedding detail choices still fit wonderfully with the season of the event. The wedding celebration took place at Hayes Hollow- which Pamela had fallen in love with the second she toured it. It had what fit perfectly into her “light and airy” feel that she wanted incorporated in her choices. Everything from the reception hall to the beautiful pavilion- it was all perfect for Pamela’s master vision. As the couple enjoyed mimosas and a stress free wedding day, their planner Krista Lee from A Signature Event made sure everything happened the way the bride wanted. It was a dream come true.

Words of Advice
“Attend open houses and wedding fairs! You really get to meet a variety of vendors and can compare to see which ones really click/fit with you. Almost every vendor of ours was met this way and being able to see them interact with others, view their work, and sometimes even get a little booking perk, was great for us and really helped us pick some top notch vendors!”- Pamela and Erik Surian
