Emily & Tyler
How They Met
This San Antonio couple met on an online dating app that was popular at University of Texas- San Antonio at the time. The first date the went on was over pizza and the movie Fast and Furious. While neither were expecting much going into it, they both realized by the end of that first date that they had something special.

The Proposal
Tyler’s proposal was perfect for Emily. Once a year her family gathers for Thanksgiving at a retreat in Kerrville and a very nervous Tyler, in front of 50 of Emily’s family members, stood up and asked Emily to be his wife. His courage and absolute adoration for family on that day are just two of the many reasons why Emily claims she will forever say yes to him.

The Inspiration
As minimalists, this couple wanted to keep their wedding simple, elegant, and rustic while still showing an appreciation for the details. They decided spring time would be a must for the beautiful weather and having the wildflowers in bloom. With accent colors of dusty rose and blue with splashes of silver, their spring time wedding looked picture perfect.

Unique Elements
Due to COVID, this San Antonio couple had to keep the guest list fairly small. While at first this was hard for them, the day of was incredible. The guests loved how intimate their wedding felt and the couple says they were able to actually talk to every guest in attendance. They realized if their wedding had been much larger, they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to really spend time with all the people they invited.

Expectations Exceeded…
“Hannah Charis Photography was the best wedding decision we made by far! Her photography speaks for itself, but she also brings such a great energy with her!”- Emily
Tyler and Emily knew that their photographer would be one of the most important vendors booked for their big day. Hannah Charis not only provided stunning photos, but was also a huge blessing on the day of.

Words of Advice
“Our advice to couples planning a San Antonio wedding is to enjoy the process of wedding planning because it is the one and only time that you and your fiancé will plan one together! Too often the stress of planning a wedding takes over and that is the only memory that sticks with you when you look back on the process. Also, be understanding that the day of the wedding will never go perfectly. We had vendors arrive late, dead plants on the outside of the venue due to a snow storm, and bridesmaids dresses that were falling apart ,and yet we can look back on our wedding day and remember how perfectly imperfect it was! Do not forget the most important part of your wedding, that you and your fiancé are getting to promise forever together in front of everyone that you love!”- Emily and Tyler Dillard
