Alex and Melony met at a local bar in Midland, Texas, where she was a server.
“He would come in quite often for business meetings,” she said. “We went on a couple of dates and knew.”
Alex proposed in Dallas on New Year’s Day during a firework show.
“Classy, elegant, and clean designs,” Melony said of the theme of the wedding. “I loved the old-time feel of it all, from venue to ever small detail.”
The couple used old-time name scrolls as table assignments and put them onto a champagne wall to fit the theme.
“I also thought the candle-lit evening and color scheme was most unique,” she said. “Simple and elegant.”

The couple married at Park 31 in San Antonio.
“The venue was very modern, rustic, and romantic all in one,” she said. “It’s the first venue we looked at and signed that day. Each vendor was recommended by Park 31 which made the process very smooth.”
As for the vendors, Melony says they wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.
“I believe all vendors went above and beyond, our wedding coordinator Shirley LeBron made the whole day and night effortless,” she said. “Anne Marie’s catering seated service made the dinner run smoothly and they treated Alex and me very well the whole night. Bartenders and Dreams made every cocktail to standards, even our grooms drink that they had never made before. Evember Floral made my vision of the night come alive. I was extremely pleased with each vendor.”
“Get a wedding planner or day-of coordinator,” Melony said. “I was stress-free through the whole process and the night turned out absolutely amazing. Everything I had ever dreamed of. Make the best out of all the small hick-ups. Laugh it off, nobody is perfect.”
