Garden Picnic Wedding Inspiration
The McNay Museum of Art in San Antonio, Texas is a staple in the city. Not only does the museum showcase brilliant works of art, but it also hosts some of the most beautiful weddings in town.
At the McNay, you can formal and simplistic in a garden picnic wedding.
The Styled Shoot
The idea was to maintain simplicity and elegance without sacrificing the beauty of the images. The McNay Art Museum was the obvious choice, the beautiful lush green lawn paired perfectly with the white floral wall. There is something undeniably satisfying when white and green are matched together, a kind of intimate innocence that feels so very comforting.
Inspiration has multiple layers and when planning a styled shoot it’s imperative those layers show in every detail. As basic as it may sound to say “What inspires you” that is the question I, Larissa Leath (The Floral Standard), and Stephanie Lee (Simple Taste of Elegance) asked ourselves before we ever put pen to paper. Most of our inspiration stems from our city and the unique people that make San Antonio special. The goal will always be to incorporate local vendors and individuals, this way we break the standard of the same repetitive ideas seen in media, break the standard of the “typical” shape or size.
The photographer Mayra Eads perfectly captured the essence of romance in the images. How she incorporated light and joy allows the person to feel what being in love is like.
