Originally part of a working ranch, the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf and Country Club has indeed maintained its old-world craftsmanship while creating a first class venue. The clubhouse is built of native Hill Country rock, and inside its 20,000 square feet lays rich mahogany paneling, wrought iron stair rails and chandeliers, and elegant furnishings comfortably perched on forest green carpeting.

Three separate dining areas, each with their own distinct personality, await guests. Separated from the outdoors only by a wrap-around glass atrium, the Oak Leaf Lounge offers a full bar and a charming view of the Hill Country setting, while The Main Dining room is adorned with crystal chandeliers, beautifully refined tapestries, and hand-crafted woodwork. The club’s ballroom is awe-inspiring in and of itself, with its opulent window treatments, private bar, and seating for groups as large as 250.

“Sometimes the most difficult decision our brides have to make is just where they want to have their ceremony and reception.” Krystie says.

She is sure to ease any bride’s worries. “We can be as involved in the planning as a bride wishes,” Krystie says of her staff. “We are extremely detail-oriented, and we are well acquainted with various vendors in our area and are always happy to make recommendations.”

Brides meet with Krystie or an event specialist for a tour of the club as well as a discussion of their service options and menus. “We offer a very eclectic and versatile menu,” she says, “and our chef is extremely talented with ice carvings.” Indeed, photographs of recent ice carvings include everything from cowboy boots to elegant swans to the back of a Volkswagen “bug.”

“Our goal is simple-to make a couple’s wedding day as memorable and amazing as they had hoped-and maybe even more so,” Krystie says.
