Danielle and James
How They Met
Danielle and James met a church retreat all the way back in 2008. When Danielle first met James she was captivated by his shy and humble demeanor and his pure and generous heart. Luckily, James was also smitten with Danielle. He not only loved how open he felt and how easy it was to be himself, but he also fell deeply in love with her zest for life and found courage to open himself up to more possibilities in life.
After years of friendship, James and Danielle finally started dating in 2011. As they embarked on their journey of entering into their young adult years, they stood firm together through lines trials and tribulations. They realized their love for travel together through trips to Disney Land and overseas. This couple has learned what it means to be true partners in life.
The Proposal
It was just a normal Wednesday evening in the middle of July, when all of the sudden everything changed. Danielle got home from work to find a beautiful setting that left her speechless. With roses, wine, a home cooked meal, and a slideshow of photos from their eight years of memories, James got on one knee and proposed to the woman of his dreams. This was a moment that sealed the bond and solidified the incredible love they had for each other.
Other Details
This engagement session was photographed by Lucy Struve from Lucille Photo at McNay Art Museum. The ring that James bought was an educated purchase that truly showed his savvy skills- he stalked her Pinterest. From there he learned that she wanted an oval cut halo diamond, and Danielle is still over the moon obsessed with it.
