Tell us about the proposal.

We were on vacation to Curaçao, early morning at our air bnb which literally sat on the water, as the waves were crashing and we could feel the sea spray on our faces, we were having coffee and I surprised her. But that’s our relationship, laid back, comfortable, no big display but rather a moment just for us.

What inspired the design or theme of your wedding day?

Our relationship and our individual personalities and style. It was a beautiful mix of vintage garden party , which the venue has that very European feel, so it was perfect. But also touches of modern design

Why did you choose the venue and vendors you did?

Because we wanted the very best in the business, and when it comes to San Antonio, each one of our vendors are each at the top of the respective category.

What were some of the most unique elements of your wedding?

Ceremony blooming aisle, inside the greenhouse which has gravel. A mix of reception sofas and chairs with ceremony chairs. Rain was a factor that day so we made adjustments. Outdoor late night movie with sugar cloud cotton candy spinner. Our outfits were incredibly unique. Pictures with umbrellas in the rain!

Our photographer Ashley Medrano and florals and overall design by The Vintage Bouquet The ability to create a beautiful day and have it captured perfectly is the dream! And we were lucky enough to get both!

What advice do you have for couples planning a San Antonio wedding?

Be prepared for the possibility of a Plan B. We learned that weather will be what it will be and you have to surround yourself with the best professionals. Adaptability and going with the organic flow of the day will make things feel so much better. We were planning for an outside ceremony but I honestly think that moving it inside created a warmer more intimate feel and we loved it even more!! Plus the umbrella shots are to die for!
