SAN FERNANDO CATHEDRAL

San Fernando Cathedral has always been at the center of San Antonio. It is a special place that occupies a unique position in this city and for the many visitors who come by the thousands each year.

San Fernando Cathedral functions as a Catholic Church and as a center of unity and harmony.  Each person is a part of the story of this magnificent place and a tribute to its enduring presence as the spiritual center of San Antonio. Countless weddings, baptisms and funerals, as well as other services are performed here each year. Weddings performed in the Cathedral are limited to those of the Catholic faith.


THE VENUES AT SAN FERNANDO

Situated in the heart of San Antonio and located within walking distance to historic San Fernando Cathedral, the Spanish Governor’s Palace and the San Antonio River Walk. The Venues at San Fernando is the perfect location to celebrate with guests. Both of our venues have unique features that make them the most sought after in San Antonio. To rent either of the venues for a Wedding/Anniversary Reception you must be married through the Catholic Church.

Your guests will be impressed with San Fernando Hall’s high ceilings, expansive glass windows and Mediterranean-inspired patio and fountain. The courtyard’s lighting coupled with its outdoor garden creates an ambiance of old world charm in a historic downtown setting. The venue is spacious enough to accommodate up to 500 of your friends and family. The venue was recently re-carpeted and  a larger built in porcelain tile dance floor was installed, a catering kitchen and an event manager will be onsite for the duration of your reception.

The Cathedral Centre Hall, adjacent to the Cathedral, has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  It also has expansive glass windows and will accommodate up to 170 guests.

ADDITIONAL VENUE INFORMATION

The rental of the venues includes:

  1. Use of the Venue for 7 hours (event must end at midnight)
  2. 72” round tables and banquet chairs
  3. Set-up and Tear-down of Tables and Chairs
  4. Clean Up (after vendors tear down and load out)
  5. Event Manager (will be onsite for the duration of your reception)
  6. Wifi Access

Both Venues have 72” round tables that accommodate 10 – 12 people to a table. In addition, we have a limited number of smaller rounds (60” and 48”), rectangular 6 ft. and 8 ft. tables for your reception, as well as easels for your use at no additional charge. In addition, there is plenty of free parking for guests in lots located within walking distance of both venues.

The venues are on a first come – first serve basis. In order to reserve either venue a signed contract and deposit are required to secure the date. As a courtesy, we will hold a date for 48 hours.
