STYLED SHOOT

Summer, Sophistication

and Style

Styled Shoot

Looking for summer wedding inspo?? You’ve made it to the right place!
Diamonds and Dreams has collaborated with some of San Antonio’s best vendors to showcase summer sophistication in style.

What inspired the garden style venue?

It’s summer! We needed some light and airy inspo to add to our summer wedding vision boards.
Tina, from Diamonds and Dreams is typically known for her bold weddings designs. This go around she wanted to add a pop of color to her portfolio and she did exactly that!

What was the deciding factor in choosing Gardens of West Green?

Considering Texas’ scorching hot temperatures during these summer days, Tina’s original plan was to choose an indoor venue. Although those plans did not follow through, everything worked out more than perfect for this summer inspired shoot. Tina put on her thinking cap and The Gardens at West Green immediately came to mind!

What inspired the color scheme of this styled shoot?

“That was a happy mistake! My floral designer and I kept trading images back and forth, and between the two of us, (and computer screens that kept miscommunicating colors to the other) we accidentally created a happy medium! We just kept discussing the color ideas and I’m super happy with the turnout. I got my original colors and some not so typical enhancements…Not typical colors, but definitely still sophisticated and summery.  Deep greens, golds, terra cottage, blush, ivories…we’re headed to fall…but not there yet!”

How were you put in contact with the models?

These beautiful models just happen to be a married couple! They came through to Tina through a good friend of hers and makeup artist for the shoot, Stephanie Eiland with Pineapple House Beauty. Tess was a client of Stephanie and was so “Marilyn Monroe-esque…” perfect for this shoot. Her husband was kind enough to play along!

How did you choose this specific list of vendors?

“I have worked with this group of vendors for more years than I can count, and they never disappoint.  Plus, they are eclectic in design ideas, so we don’t get in a creative rut. I’m always open to work with new vendors, but sometimes you just stick with people you know deliver.”, Tina added.

What was the ultimate goal in leading this styled shoot? Inspire a new trend? Follow an up and coming trend?

Sometimes weddings are very over the top and overdone. In Tina’s humble opinion, they just don’t always have to be. Simple can be very beautiful, classy…and…less stress. She is all about easy, fun and pretty. Tina’s ultimate goal was to showcase simplicity in the most elegant way possible!
