How They Met

The couple’s love story began like any other modern-day love story -online. You know, a few “likes” back and forth followed by a few messages.

Chase asked Ali several times to hang out but she was busy every single time, so he decided to let it go. About seven months later, Ali decided to randomly text Chase. She was not expecting a reply, however, to her surprise, he responded and they set up our first date.

“By our second date, I told Chase to please ask me to be his girlfriend,” Ali said, “because I didn’t want to keep waiting. Patience is clearly my strong suit, and that’s basically how things have gone ever since.”

The Proposal

Chase proposed at the couple’s daughter’s second Birthday party.

“I’m a huge family person,” Ali said. “He knew all of our family would be attending the party so he figured this was the perfect time, and it was.”

Chase told Ali they needed to thank everyone for coming to the party. They stood up in front of everyone to do so, and just then he popped the question!

“It was simple, intimate, and perfect for us,” she said.

The Theme

“Chase and I are both very simple people,” Ali said.

The couple both like the country and rustic look.

“We knew we wanted something along those lines,” she said. “I love anything vintage and antique, so I had a few of those touches throughout our wedding as well.”

The Venue & Vendors

Harper Hill Ranch was the first venue the couple looked at and they knew it was the one for them.

“Not only because it’s a beautiful venue with country charm & antique touches, but the owners, Amy & Steve are the absolute best,” Ali said. “They’re truly what makes Harper Hill Ranch what it is.”

Photography

“I chose Wild + Untamed Photography as our photographer after one of my best friends had her family photos taken by Liza & I loved them,” she said. “I said, ‘That’s who I want to shoot our wedding!’ Then I actually won a giveaway on Instagram that Liza was doing so I knew it was meant to be! She was the absolute best!”

DJ

“I chose John (@djforhire) as our DJ because he had all amazing reviews & everyone raved about how nice he was, and they were right,” she said. “He was great and the perfect fit for our wedding!”

Caterer

“I chose Sweet Treats as our baker because I’ve always loved their cupcakes and I knew there was no one else I would want making our wedding cake,” she said. “Commie is amazing & our cake was absolutely delicious & beautiful!”

Hair Stylist

“I chose Cassy (hairby_cassy) as my hairstylist because not only is she Chase’s cousin, but she’s the absolute best at what she does,” she said. “I told chase from the start I didn’t want anyone else doing my hair!”

Makeup Artist

“I chose Renee (@rml_beauty) as my makeup artist because I’ve known her for several years,” she said. “I’ve always had her do my makeup for any event! She’s fun, so nice, & so amazing at what she does!”

Florist

“My mom actually recommended Viola’s Flowers in Seguin and I’m so glad she did,” she said. “I’m clueless when it comes to flowers so I pretty much told Patricia my wedding colors and showed her a few picture I liked and just told her to do her thing! She did such an incredible job & everything looked beautiful!”

Bar Services

“I chose Margarita Madness as our bartenders after messaging several different ones and Christine was just so kind,” she said. “She was so helpful & so nice, no matter how many questions I asked. They were awesome!”

Unique Elements

The couple had a brownie sundae bar at their wedding.

“Chase and I have always said brownie sundaes are our thing, and we probably eat an unhealthy amount of them,” Ali said. “My sister and her best friend made us about 150 brownies the night before to help make this happen.”

Advice for Couples

“I would tell other couples to just try and relax and enjoy it,” Ali said. “It comes and goes so fast, you don’t want to waste it by stressing! If the top of the line photo booth or a million different decor items are out of your budget, it’s okay! The day will still be great! We kept so many things simple and it still looked beautiful! And most importantly, be kind to everyone helping make your day happen! If something goes wrong or someone forgets something, it’s okay! The day will still be amazing & no need to waste time getting upset at anyone!”
