How They Met

Marcus’ dad was Olivia’s geometry teacher so she had always known of him but never officially met at first. Fast forward 8 years later and Marcus reached out to Olivia over social media and asked her out on a date. When she politely turned him down, he was still persistent in getting her to say yes. Olivia gave in and they had their first date at a local coffee shop.

The Proposal

Olivia and Marcus got engaged during quarantine. He took her out on a date when she got off work and they picked something up to eat and headed to Madla Park. He had the inside of his jeep lit up with lights and had a blanket and pillows set up in the back for a little picnic. They enjoyed their date all the way till the park closed, and then got in the car and went home. On their way home, Olivia leaned over and put her hand on Marcus’ leg. This is when she realized he had the ring in his pocket. She tried to play it off cool, but it quickly turned into her asking about it and telling him she wanted the ring! When they finally got home Marcus looked at Olivia and told her that he had planned on proposing to her that night but the moment never came. He dropped down on one knee and and told her he wouldn’t have wanted it to happen any other way then asked her to be his bride.

The Wedding

Inspiration:

The couple wanted their wedding to have a “very organic feel”

Venue:

The couple came across photos of the venue and fell in love with it. Once they did their tour and met with venue coordinator at Sendera Springs, Hannah, they knew that this venue was the one for their big day.

Unique Elements:

Definitely the weather. Olivia and Marcus got married the Thursday that the “winter storm” came through the Hill Country and they were the first wedding at Sendera Springs to have to be moved inside due to weather.
