Married at Rio Plaza
Shebly & Miguel
Shebly Sarrami and Miguel Dutson were destined to meet. It wasn’t a matter of if, but when. The two attended high school together, but, as luck would have it, they didn’t make their connection until the timing was right. With the help of a mutual friend, the two were able to meet under the pretext of a friendly outing. Their mutual friend, of course, arrived an entire hour late—late enough for Shebly and Miguel to form a genuine connection. Miguel later proposed to Shebly at the top of the world, and together they sealed forever with a scent.
The Long Trek to Love
Shebly and Miguel quickly realized the two shared a passion for high rises and beautiful views. The avid hikers were only brought closer with every adventurous hike they took together. Naturally, the two exchanged I love you for the first time at the top of Enchanted Rock, a popular Texan hiking destination. “I love you” wasn’t the only first the two would experience atop the massive hill.
Miguel would arrange a surprising proposal at the top of the magical rock. He had his sister ask Shebly to go on a hike to the enchanted point, an all-girls hike. Shebly, who got along great with her future sister-in-law, agreed. Once the two reached the peak, 425 ft high, they found a man huddled under an umbrella. The two walked closer, and Shebly realized the man was Miguel. He poured his heart out to her as he flipped through a photo album filled with pivotal moments in their relationship. Then, he got down on one knee and proposed!
A Lasting Impression
The two wed at the Spanish styled Rio Plaza’s Rooftop located in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The venue’s elegance was not lost on the promising couple, nor was the awesome perks the venue made available to them. Rio Plaza provided the couple with an amazing wedding planner, food, and bartender service! In charge of capturing the night’s memories was Limelight San Antonio Photography and Video, who Shebly found to be affordable and amazing. “Everything about the wedding was picture perfect, and Limelight captured everything!”
Although photos would be used to recall the night’s everlasting memories, the couple felt that wouldn’t be enough. They wanted to be reminded of their perfect day every time they smelled gardenia, “We wanted people to remember our wedding as beautiful as we would, so we placed gardenia candles and plug-ins everywhere!” The next time they, or their guests, are to smell gardenia, they’ll be taken back to an enchanting night when two hikers said, “I do.”
