Eva Rivera and Albert Navarro met in high school. Albert found himself dealing with a personal conflict, and Eva found herself caring. After asking him what was wrong, Albert immediately confided in her. It was only a matter of time before he got over what troubled him. The two would eventually learn that there was nothing the two couldn’t take on together. From high school headaches to modern pandemics, the pair is stronger together.

Worth the Diversion

Eva and Albert had planned an exciting trip to San Diego, California. While there, Albert prepared to take Eva out on a memorable date. They got dressed up and rode toward their destination. Suddenly, Albert pulled off to the side, on the beach. He insisted he had something to show Eva, and she, without a second thought, followed.

Eva took in the beautiful sights and soaked in her appreciation of her best friend’s adventurous spirit. Then, the faint sound of Kina Grannis’ “Can’t Help Falling In Love” rose amongst the sound of ocean waves.  Eva turned away from the scenic views and toward the beach behind her. There, she found the man, who eased life’s dilemmas, on one knee, holding the ring that would seal the two’s eternity.

Traditions, Culture, and COVID-19

While the prospect of marrying her best friend filled Eva’s heart with joy, their wedding day found itself threatened by the world’s chemistry. On the morning of their union, Eva and Albert struggled with the imminent COVID-19’s pandemic effects on weddings everywhere. Closures and cancellations loomed over the couple’s big day, but they’re love pushed them through.

The show went on, and the couple got to celebrate their heritage and union in their wedding’s food and venue. Aside from the incredible meal that Heavenly Gourmet provided, the couple emphasized their roots by making traditional Mexican desserts and snacks available for guests. The Lost Mission, a hill country getaway, swelled with Mexican pride, decorated in bright traditional colors.

To this day, Eva’s eyes fill with tears as she reflects on her endless commitment to a man who strengthens her. Years after meeting each other in high school, the two never stopped tackling life’s obstacles. Amongst uncertainty, they shared an intimate moment on the dance floor of the elegant Lost Mission. Nothing else mattered as the two danced to the same song Albert proposed to.
