A Springy Love Story
Photography by: Phillip Winham Photography and Kaitlin Rodgers Photography
Elegant, ethereal, elopement in La Grange
The Inspiration
This elegant, ethereal inspired elopement is something straight out of our dreams. We are in love with the way our contemporary design contrasted with the aged stone venue and how the earthy muted colors made an impacting statement amongst the overarching minimalism. This was showcased in the ceremony moment we styled with the organically placed fabrice, framed with perfectly placed blooms by Everwild Floral.
The Dress
The bride wore two gowns from Liv and Love Bridal. We started the shoot with a sleek, champagne silk gown (left) and then transitioned into a traditional, yet modern square neck gown (right). The champagne gown highlighted the bride’s natural beauty as it cascaded with her movement. We then transitioned into the classic gown accompanied by a flowing, veil ornate with jewels, complimenting our minimalism style.
The Tablescape
The tablescape – simplistic and modern – featured unique place cards from Design to Flourish. The floral pressed acrylic place cards were framed with organically placed fabric and bold pops of color in the blooms against the muted tablescape, adding to the ethereal, airy feel.
The Stationary
Kelli with Design to Flourish said, “The inspiration for the stationery came from the architecture of the Ice Plant Building and complementing it with materials that read as soft and romantic. The pearlescent papers for the invitation suite and pressed flower place cards encapsulated that feeling perfectly.”
The Florals
Gracen with Everwild Floral stated, “The florals were inspired by the transition of seasons in a timeless and elegant way! I have found that so many brides find it hard to blend their love for spring and summer flowers while keeping their wedding appropriate for the season. As summer turns to fall, this floral creation hopes to inspire brides to think outside the box and create the vision they hope for their wedding day, without the confines of a season!”
Kaitlin states, “When it comes to wedding planning, there’s one thing I look for in a variety of vendors and themes: versatility. And this shoot is exactly that! I wanted to show planning couples how versatile this color palette is along with the venue and decor. This industrial venue with it’s acute notes to detail, along with the decor and colors easily made this shoot high end without high amounts of work.
In photographing all of the elements of this shoot, I really wanted to show everyday future brides and grooms that having a luxurious wedding that you think you only see on Pinterest or in magazines is completely possible. This look is highly attainable for any couple to have and is sure to be ingrained in the minds of your guests for years to come.
This team of vendors really cares for their clients and their ability to create beautiful weddings is their specialty!”
Having two different photographers, we were able to see the design through two different lenses (literally)! Their creativity was astounding in how they were able to capture the shoot from two different perspectives, on the same canvas.
