SPOTLIGHT
An Elegant, Rustic Venue
with Natural Charm
Written by: Jordan Benton
Eagle Dancer Ranch

When driving through the gate to Eagle Dancer Ranch, the paved road leads you through acres and acres of rolling land. The deer grazing on the sides of the road’s path add to the tranquility that this ranch provides. In the distance, you will see a beautiful, rustic barn that has just as much character on the outside as it does on the inside.
As you walk through its double barn doors, your eyes can’t help but dart for the showstopper of the room—the giant chandelier. The chandelier adds elegance to the barn’s rustic charm. The barn can accommodate up to 300 guests amongst round tables with ivory linens and stylish white folding chairs, all of which are provided by the venue. There are 12 smaller chandeliers, with the ability to dim, located along the perimeter of the barn. On one far end of the barn, there is a light wall made of a curtain with yellow lights that can be programmed as solid or twinkling. On the other end, there is a dedicated area for the DJ/band complete with stage lights. In addition to its setup/takedown and clean up inclusion when you book an event here, Eagle Dancer Ranch also provides all kinds of in-house décor for wedding receptions like antler sheds, mason jars, lanterns, wooden chargers and LED candles. Other decorative features they offer are chalkboards, signs with cute sayings and antique tables. “We want brides to use our decorations and not have to worry about bringing their own stuff,” said Kilee Morris, lead coordinator and venue manager for Eagle Dancer Ranch. One of Kilee’s additional roles is that of day-of coordinator. She said that even though they call it “day-of”, brides have access to her services as soon as they book their wedding day.

Right outside of the barn, you’ll find the courtyard with fire pits—perfect for the catering station and a S’mores bar! The spacious courtyard hosts a rock waterfall, multiple lounge areas and fashionable bathrooms for “cowboys” and “cowgirls”. “We pride ourselves on landscaping,” Morris said. Not only does Eagle Dancer Ranch provide picturesque scenes for weddings, but Kilee wants brides-to-be to know that once they book their wedding with the ranch, couples can take their engagement photos, bridal portraits, etc. onsite at no additional cost. All they have to do is book their photography day in advance with Kilee. On the day of your wedding, you have access to the grounds beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting no later than midnight. The venue provides bartenders at your reception, requiring that couples provide the alcohol, soda, mixers, etc. to stock the bar. The venue accommodates the ice, glassware and straws.
As an incentive for the happy couple, the venue has a beautiful bridal suite and a handsome groom’s suite for the couple and their parties to enjoy the day-of. The couple has the option to drop their wedding-day belongings off in their suites the day before the wedding at their rehearsal. Casa Blanca, the rustic vintage bridal suite, has a bed, table, chairs, mirrors, bathroom with tub, full kitchen and more to make getting ready a breeze! Cantina, the man cave of a groom’s suite, encompasses a large wooden bar (that is not stocked, but you can bring your own drinks!), big TV, bathroom with shower and outdoor grills for cooking out with the boys. Once the groom and groomsmen are ready to go, the venue has a 32-person, blacked-out shuttle bus to take them to the ceremony site before the shuttle heads to the bridal suite to do the same for the girls. At the end of a beautiful day of celebrating love, the town of Boerne is nearby to accommodate the couple and their guests with somewhere comfortable to stay.
“I’m all about the brides’ vision and constantly asking them if it’s going as planned. We rarely tell them no,” said Kilee of taking care of her couples during the planning process. Kilee and all of the staff at Eagle Dancer Ranch have one goal in mind—to accommodate their brides’ hopes and dreams for her special day!
