Sam & Marissa Marry On The Riverwalk

The Proposal
Marissa knew Sam was the right guy. He sealed the deal with his St. Patrick’s day proposal, which was actually a recreation of their first date at the Pearl.
“We got food to-go from Supper and walked down to The Luxury to eat and swing. Then, we continued our walk down the river. We came up in the Southwest School of Art and sat in the gazebo. As I sat down and faced him again, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him.” explained Marissa.

How Fast Can We Plan A Wedding
Several weeks later, Sam was scheduled to deploy. Only days before he was scheduled to leave, Sam asked Marissa if they should get married before he departed. Would they be able to pull together a wedding in just a few days? Marissa was bound and determined to make it happen. She found a perfect dress online, did a rush order with overnight delivery. Found the perfect flower girl dresses for their two girls and a darling suit for their son. She utilized HEB for her floral and it was nearly complete.

Count On Your Family For That Extra Help
Marissa had nearly all the pieces she needed, except for photography. She wasn’t going to get married without capturing photos of this special day. One phone call to Aunt Sherry and not only did she secure her aunt as the photographer, but uncle Mark would handle the officiating.
Because of the Covid-19 crisis, Marissa decided her remaining family and friends could be a part of their wedding, by live streaming it. She enlisted the help of her cousin Krista to handle that task.
“It was simple and beautiful and we chose to go with the flow and not get worked up about the fine details” explained Marissa.
