Román proposed on February 11, 2008, two years to the day that we met. We are currently completing our graduate studies in Minnesota, while simultaneously planning our wedding in San Antonio. The ceremony and reception will take place at the Hotel Valencia on November 29, 2008. For his birthday on May 26, 2008, he diecided to give her a present and take her skydiving. We got engaged August 4th 2007. He was so great about it. He asked my dad's approval and surprised me while I was opening my presents for my birthday celebration. He planned it out so well. He had two bags, and I pulled out the first one and it had two Juicy Couture charms for my bracelet. One was a heart locket, and the other was a key. Then he said there was another one at the bottom of the bag, so i dug it out. It was an engagement ring charm from Juicy Couture. Then he said "And I have something else for you" he got on his knee and said "Alexis, will you marry me" and I said yes!!! It was so amazing, so creative, and soooo perfect. My ring is beautiful, its perfect, and its exactly what i wanted. He is the best!!!! The wedding date is going to be April 18th 2009.

This moment of mischief was serendipitous as it brought us together on the same flight back to Texas.
We eventually met in San Antonio at the baggage carousel, exchanged information, had our first date at Kitsch'n in Chicago's Roscoe Village, and grew together both in our hometown of San Antonio and our current home of Chicago.

Jonathan and I were engaged on March 6, 2007 on our 3 year anniversary. Jonathan planned a wonderful evening of surprises. He blindfolded me and took me to places that had special meaning. At these places, I would get a rose and a love letter explaining why this place was special (just in case I forgot). The final place was the spot where we first kissed. He had a rose and a love letter waiting for me, but after I read this letter, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. After the proposal, he took me to dinner, which happened to be where we had our first date. When we arrived, I was in shock, not only had he reserved the area where we sat on our first date, but our families were already seated waiting for our arrival. He had planned our engagement party on the same day.
We will be married on May 24, 2008 at the Chapel of the Incarnate Word. Our reception will follow at The Bushnell.

Our first date was March, 5th 2004. We went to go see Starsky and Hutch opening night in Austin, TX (where I lived at the time). He officially asked me to be his girlfriend 5 days later. On our third anniversary of our first date we went to Austin to see our old roomates/friends in a local band (The Panic Division) play. He had secretly put together something with them, and a few songs into the set they asked for me to come up on stage, and he came out and proposed to me! He even got down on one knee!
